D’Angelo Covers Soundgarden’s ‘Black Hole Sun:’ Listen


A demo track of D’Angelo’s hit the ‘net. The neo-soul singer covers Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” on the rough cut, borrowing the rock band’s hook from their Alternative Songs No. 2 hit.

According to ?uestlove, D’Angelo’s cover of “Black Hole Sun” was recorded close to eight years ago and it will not be on his upcoming album.

Here’s a dope one for you b-siders out there! Very nice cover, I’d say. What do you think?
