Oh, hey. Been awhile. I still remember the first time I saw the video for “End to End Burners” on Rap City. I was bugging out, and really enjoyed the tune. Then I decided to get on my grown man shit and gather my loot for the 12”, and what do I find but the sequel to the first “Krazy Kings” from “Funcrusher Plus”? So here it is for your ears today. BSIIIIIIIIIIDERS….it’s time for yet another installment of B-Sides and Bullshit, this time with the almighty Big Daddy Kane. Many might either recollect or heard about a comedy action film called Gunmen which was put out in 1994. However, most don’t recollect that there was a soundtrack, to which Big Daddy Kane contributed the soundtrack’s title track. However if you’re like me, and stumbled on the 12”, you found a much harder remix than the one found on the Gunmen soundtrack. You haven’t heard it? Well take a listen. Enjoy!

Hey BSIDERRRRRS. Today’s B-side comes from Lauryn Hill, Pras & Wyclef, better known as the group The Fugees. Many recall their breakout success that they had with The Score, however, seemed like after that, all hopes of anything Fugees was ditched for solo success. Regardless though, after getting my hands on the 12” for “No Woman, No Cry”, I ended up stumbling upon this stunning rendition of the Sam Cooke classic, “A Change Is Gonna Come”, which was a live rendition. So for you, here it is. Enjoy!

Oh hey BSIIIIIIIIIDERRRRS. Who remembers the Soundbombing series of mix tapes that came out on Rawkus? I remember them all too well. Many remember the various vinyls that came out of Soundbombing II once they inked a distro deal with Priority Records, and the first one to come out of the gate was the Common & Sadat X “One-Nine-Nine-Nine” 12” which was produced by Hi-Tek himself. However, those of you who are like me and blessed to have this 12” got to see a team-up by Common & Hi-Tek for a song called “Like They Used To Say,” which is still one of my favorite B-sides to this day. So here it is! Enjoy!

But anyway - had to do it major for this one, my vinyl player is sadly in an untimely demise, but had to do this one hugely. Anyways, you know how fucking hard it is to find any 12’s from Nas’s “Illmatic” album? I lucked up and found some, quite namely one I had been searching for, for quite some time. Anyways, who can deny the force that is “The World Is Yours”? Bet you know that chorus by just my mere utterance of the name of the song, right? Well did you know that Q-Tip made a remix to it? And it’s a b-side on “The World Is Yours” 12” if you’re lucky to own this piece of wax? Granted, it’s not Pete Rock’s take, but still though, it’s done by Q-Tip! Check it out and as always, ENJOY!
